Learn to prepare and print beautiful, fine art quality giclée images. Cher will teach you the best-practice methods for printing on large format Epson Sure-color printers. Each participant will take away at least 2 large archival-quality prints of their own work.
This class is perfect for illustrators, photographers, and other artists desiring to print their own editions. Participants need a basic knowledge of Photoshop, including layers and masking. This class will also be good experience for those who may wish to work in a commercial giclée print space.
Upon successful completion of this intensive hands-on class, participants will be certified as Level-1 Giclee Print Technicians. This certification is required for all Create Appalachia members who want to print their own work in our print lab.
Saturday lunch is on your own. There are a number of restaurants close to the KCAAT. If you prefer to bring your own lunch, we have a microwave and a fridge that you can use. We will supply coffee and a light breakfast in the morning.
You may park behind our building in the lot between us and the Justice Center, or you may use the free parking garage on Shelby Street. Please use the Shelby Street entrance.
Topics to be covered include:
Introduction to Fine Art Giclee Printing
Digital Image Preparation in Adobe Photoshop
Printing on large format Epson Surecolor printers
