From July 21–25, Instructor Jane Anderson led a group of creative campers through an unforgettable week of Digital Art & Media exploration.
Using Unreal Engine, students designed their own immersive “worlds” — complete with interactive elements and a touch of coding to make them function. Along the way, they learned to use Blender’s Grease Pencil for virtual sculpting and character design, adding depth and personality to their creations.
The week was filled with lively conversations and collaboration. Campers tested each other’s games, offered feedback, and jumped in to help troubleshoot tricky design challenges. The result? Teamwork, skill-building, and some of the most imaginative game environments and characters we’ve ever seen at camp.
Instructor Jane captured the magic of the week in a highlight reel featuring student-created worlds and characters.
We’re proud of the creativity and dedication these campers brought to the table — and excited to see how they’ll continue to explore digital media in the future.
We’re seeking sponsors to help keep programs like this accessible to our community. If you’re interested in supporting our Digital Art & Media Summer Camps, contact Katie Hoffman.
