Jonathan has over a decade of experience at Eastman Credit Union and holds an MBA from ETSU. A Kingsport resident and small business owner, he brings both financial expertise and entrepreneurial spirit to the board.

Sam Barnett (Johnson City, TN)
Sam brings decades of experience in advertising and marketing, having worked with both national brands and regional clients. Now retired, he leads a consulting firm and offers deep insight into brand strategy and creative direction.

Alex Veatch (Marion, VA)
Alex is the CEO and Creative Director of Letterpress Communications, a marketing agency specializing in rural and community-powered campaigns. Her work in economic development and storytelling aligns strongly with our vision.

Sarah Stewart (Erwin, TN)
A licensed attorney in Tennessee and Oregon, Sarah practices both civil and criminal law and is a certified Rule 31 Civil Mediator. A native of Appalachia with a degree in Art from Emory & Henry, she’s passionate about Create Appalachia’s mission and has served on our Exhibit Committee.
